One-man business (2020)

Three machines and audio work

Production of components for industry and finished goods in metal was one of the most important industries in Moss until the 1990s. Today, there are only a few metalware companies left. One of these is the one-man company Peik, where Svein Lindblom, third generation potato peeler master, makes potato peelers by hand. At most, Peik produced several thousand potato peelers per day, but the company has gradually lost competition with the large international companies.

In the exhibition at Gallery F15, the machines were exhibited together with a sound work. The sound works for 8 minutes (loop). Sound design: Carsten Aniksdal. her
